Carteret County Detention Center

Carteret County Inmate Visitation
Carteret no longer offers in-person social inmate visits. All social visitation is by video through Pay Tel. Remote video visits are scheduled through Pay Tel. Each inmate receives one free 15-minute video visit per week, and additional visits cost $0.30 per minute. Visitors without a computer or mobile device can use the jail video visitation kiosk, but kiosk visits must be scheduled during lobby hours and must occur on the same day the inmate's prior in-person visit was scheduled.

Carteret County Inmate Phones
Carteret uses Paytel for inmate phone service. Carteret County Inmate Books
Books must be shipped directly from a major national distributor such as Amazon, Books-A-Million, or Barnes & Noble.
